Founded by Mr. Zhu, whose surname coincides with the Chinese word for "bamboo", ZHUSROD is a tribute to both the craft of classic fly fishing and the elegance of natural materials. What began as a personal obsession with vintage tackle has grown into a workshop dedicated to creating and curating some of the finest bamboo fly rods, rod blanks, classic fly reels, and rod-building components available today.

Every taper we carry is hand-picked by Mr. Zhu himself — inspired by time-honored designs like Garrison, Payne, and Phillipson, and tested by anglers worldwide. Whether you're building your own rod or casting dry flies at sunrise, our goal is to help you reconnect with nature, tradition, and the joy of fly fishing.
