You heard wrong! A bamboo rod is solid whereas a graphite or fiberglass rod is hollow.

Pretty simple. Press the ferrules together straight and pull apart straight. Keep ferrule clean and dry and do not wax. Never store the rod wet. Store in cool, dry place. Avoid excessive heat. Avoid leaning an assembled rod against wall or display horizontally. Do not use the rod as a lever if snagged. Point the rod at the fly and step back.

Please use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the fishing rod. If necessary, you can use a small amount of neutral cleaner. Avoid using corrosive chemicals.
We offer many classic tapers such as: Leonard, F.E. Thomas, Orvis, Payne, Heddon, Garrison, Hardy, Dickerson...
We strictly use the same taper to make fishing rods, using the best materials, and there is no difference in the feel.

Silk Fly Line Sale Questions

These fly lines are made from unbleached natural reeled silk, which is the highest grade of silk.

The production process includes skein washing (to remove sericin), dyeing (if applicable), bobbin winding (various deniers), braiding (to construct tapers), trimming and burning loose ends, vacuum impregnation with traditional varnish (mainly linseed oil and natural resins), polishing, adding leader loops, weighing, measuring, and coiling.

These fly lines are made using traditional methods, which may result in small lumps and minor cosmetic marks. However, each line is thoroughly inspected to ensure it casts well and catches fish.

New silk fly lines are usually a bit stiff and rough initially but will become softer and more supple over the first few fishing trips.

Before each fishing trip, a thin layer of line grease should be applied to the silk fly line.

After fishing, the silk fly lines should be pulled off the reel into loose coils in a cardboard box to dry, or put on a line dryer if available.

If the silk fly line becomes sticky or tacky, it should be wiped down with white spirit.

'Unfinished' silk fly lines are made from unbleached silk and have not undergone any color or finishing processes. These lines are typically purchased by cane rod builders who want to choose their own line color.

Greasing wet silk fly lines can trap moisture inside, leading to rot.

Proper care, including regular application of line grease, adequate drying, and cleaning, can ensure the silk fly lines last a lifetime.
