This Dickerson 7012 taper bamboo blank embodies the essence of modular craftsmanship. Each 7' two-section blank starts with six hand-split Tokin bamboo culms, tensioned and glued under controlled humidity to achieve the legendary fast-action profile. The pre-varnished surface protects the bamboo's cellular structure while allowing easy secondary finishing – or select the raw version to experiment with linseed oil/tung oil treatments.
Cold-forged 18% nickel silver ferrules come pre-fitted with micro-tolerance mating surfaces, though advanced builders may request loose ferrules for alternative installation methods. As a foundational platform, this blank invites customization: pair it with snake guides for classic aesthetics or modern single-foot guides for reduced weight. The tapered geometry particularly shines when matched with 4-5wt DT lines for delicate dry fly work.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
