Garrison Bamboo Fly Rod Taper Series: The Engineer's Legacy

Everett Garrison

Everett Garrison was a structural and electrical engineer who applied stress analysis to bamboo rod design. His work with Hoagy B. Carmichael became A Master’s Guide to Building a Bamboo Fly Rod, published in 1977. The book and surviving rods are useful foundations for understanding his approach.
