Nearly perfect

Paired up with a split bamboo rod, this line is close to perfect. It’s a bit thinner than a typical line and a natural color. Very happy with it so far. It casts smoothly, handles easily and loads the cane rod properly without overloading it like some modern WF lines tend to.

Correct weight and classic tapers that have been in use for many years.

Perfect weight for classic rods, early graphite, bamboo and fiberglass rods. The silk lines have been used by experienced fly fishers using vintage and classic moderate action fly rods for many years. Always perform with consistency.

  • EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE - Silk fly lines for fly fishing have no memory - completely limp. They offer no stretch, leading to improved hookups. They are denser than plastic fly lines and consequently much thinner. Thinner lines result in significantly less wind resistance. It's best fly fishing flies for trout.
  • BETTER FLOTATION - Additionally, they float better than plastic fly lines, remaining on the water surface rather than sinking into it. This property makes roll casts and mending line much easier.The natural silk material of floating fly line is less likely to disturb the fish when reeling in and out of the line.

Take care of your silk fly line-Before each fishing trip apply a thin layer of line grease. After your fishing trip pull the line off your reel in loose coils into a cardboard box to dry (or put onto a line dryer if you have one). Never grease a wet silk fly line as that will trap the moisture inside and prompt rot.If you don't use it for a long time, please put the fishing line in a place away from the sunlight, and it may cause some of the fly lines to be hardened when not used for a long time, which can be solved by applying a dressing.
